He was trained as a professional wrestler by Larry Sharpe at the "Monster Factory" in Bellmawr, New Jersey. While he was promoted as being from Atlantic City, "King Kong Bundy" was actually born Christopher Alan Pallies in Woodbury, NJ, where he was a high school wrestling champion. He was best known by wrestling fans for his tenure in the World Wrestling Federation in the mid-1980s and mid-1990s, where he wrestled the WWF World Heavyweight Champion Hulk Hogan in a steel cage at WrestleMania 2 in 1986. ![]()
